[Background]
This pretty much sums it up.
[Personality]
The primary thing to point out about Jellal is that he has lost his memories. Before the loss of his memories Jellal was at first much like how he is now. To quickly sum it up, when Jellal was a kid he was kind, caring, and despite being a slave was an optimistic kid who always tried to stay bright. However, Jellal changed when he ended up under the control and manipulated. Instead of the caring boy he was, he became ruthless, obsessed, and even went so far as to kill an old friend of his in order to revive Zeref. Then he lost, got revived, and as a result of things that do not matter in a personality section, ended up with amnesia.
Jellal is someone who is currently in the state of redemption. While he doesn't remember what he has done specifically he has been told of what he does. He understand how much pain he has caused to others and the damage that happened due to his action. He fully regrets the actions that he has done despite not remembering and will find a way to try and atone for these sins. Even if it means dying by the hand of someone who he had caused pain, which is something that he sometimes consider a way for him to pay back for what he has done. However, he does - by some extent - know that dying by the hand of someone who he had caused suffer to isn't the only way to repay his sins. This is because when he attempted to kill himself as penance for his sins he was scolded by Erza, who told him that he should live day by day while holding his sins in order to atone for them. He understands this, and at this moment is trying to live and embrace the suffering that he has brought upon others as part of his redemption. He has learned that killing yourself is not the right way to atone and while he might need a reminder of this during his lowest points taking on each day and carrying all the burdens while doing so is a better way than dying.
That said, living day by day while carrying the sins that he doesn't remember is, for the most part, how he repays for his sins. Though he didn't have the sense of right and wrong when he was under control he does now. He understands what he considered a sin and what is considered to be the right thing to do. As someone who is in redemption Jellal is someone who will always try and do the right thing. He doesn't hesitate to help out people in need even if they might hate him or attack him during his attempt to aid them. If the reasoning or moment is critical, such as when he tried to help Natsu to destroy Zero an Nirvana, he will insist that they allow him to help. However, Jellal will never ask for someone's forgiveness. He believes that he doesn't deserve the forgiveness of anyone that he will hate. If someone hates him for the things he's done he won't blame them. He won't try to show how much he's change since then. Even if it puts himself in more danger than he could possibly handle; he will push himself to do what is right even if he exceeds his limits. Taking any type of injury, punishment, and even as far as any methods of torture is just one way of how he can repay for what he has done. Though sometimes it is not to repay his sins, but so he doesn't let down anyone who might actually be counting on him.
Despite his own past actions that he doesn't clearly remember he will call out on someone when they are doing something that isn't justified, that is cruel, or anything that brings pain onto others. With this in mind Jellal can almost seem hypocritical, thinking of people or their actions as cruel when he himself has done these actions despite not remembering. But it's all in the suffering that he tries to choose the right thing. To make sure he doesn't fall down the right path once again. This might sometimes put him in a state of small despair being someone who used to do cruel inhumane deeds to people and then turning around and trying to act as someone who believes doing such deeds is wrong. But he has seen the light and, with the right support, will continue to bring himself up into the light and not fall back into the darkness. Even if his life continues to throw him into the darkness by putting him in prison and so forth.
Having not been his right mind for years, Jellal can come off as a bit naive. Though he does know the difference between right and wrong he has quickly fallen for using a technique that someone taught him in order to destroy something, only for the same person to dismantle what he has done and take over. He will do what he believes is to be right despite the consequences and possible naivety behind said actions. This means that Jellal is manipulative to an extent. If someone has him do something for what he thinks he currently right and goes along with that he wished to do then it is possible to trick him into doing this. However, this does not mean that someone can change his sense of right and wrong again. He has gone through it before and in order to hope that he doesn't happen again he will be cautious around those who ask for his assistance. If it is for something that is questionable then he would need to know the reasons behind the actions before agreeing to them.
Alongside his naivety and need to help others who are in need Jellal is sweet and kind; both being a basis for his actions. Jellal, unless they don't deserve the kindness due to their actions of their ideals, is kind to pretty much anyone. Even though who are unkind to him. After all, to Jellal is isn't a surprise that someone would be cruel to him. The best that he can do it take it in and work more towards the correct path. Though Jellal isn't so kind as to be kind to anyone even if they are unkind to him. If the seem to be unkind to him for what seems to be no reasons then it can be a belief that they are someone that Jellal should not associate himself with. However, this doesn't mean Jellal won't give people the benefit of the doubt. Just like him, if there is someone who has done sins and want to atone for what they have done then he won't respond with aggression. They are on the same page as him and will support them if they allow it and if he can do anything to help.
Jellal is not someone what would want his burden to be anyone else's. This fact is the reason why he had almost committed suicide when he learned of what he had done because he didn't want Erza - the only name that he remembered - to bear any of his suffering. While he still doesn't want her, or anyone else to do so, Jellal won't stop anyone from bearing the suffering with him. However, while he appreciates those who are there for him throughout the hard times he will do what he can in order to make sure that only he repents for his sins. This is why, even though Fairy Tail fought for his freedom, was grateful to Erza for stopping the fight and allowing him to be taken away. With this in mind, Jellal doesn't forget those who have helped him. He will keep those who have helped him in his mind in hopes that one day he will be able to return the favor. This goes from Erza helping him decide how to atone for his sins without committing suicide and saying that she will always be there for him, to later helping Fairy Tail thanks to the help that they gave him when he was revived.
Even though he has lost his memories of things that he's done it doesn't mean that he doesn't know much about the world. He still remembers how to use his magic, and despite not knowing his past still has a deep understanding of magic and even retained some information that he learned from before he lost his memories (such as knowing where Nirvana is). But, while Jellal might be naturally clever he still has a bit to learn and plenty of things can still surprise him. Such as people's actions, magic, and so forth.
In a way, Jellal is on the way to recovery. When he had first revived he seemed almost scared of the world, unsure of what is going on and keeping people away from him. The only thing he remembered was someone's name. After he got over his fear of the world and was prevented from killing himself Jellal then already started to try and atone for the things that he had been told he's done. He pushes himself to attack someone who clearly has the upper hand and even goes so far as to help Natsu because he was the 'hope' despite Natsu hating him for what he has done. After everything is over Jellal is soon taken to be tossed into prison where he started to atone for his sins by putting up with the torture that they put him through.
Sadly, due to getting tossed into prison Jellal didn't get much of a chance to show other sides of him very much. However, if the future shows anything, not only does Jellal become kind again he can also be a bit of a dork and perhaps push the whole 'punishing myself and atoning for my sins' too far. Not only will be believe that he doesn't deserve the kindness that some people give him or the help, but he does so far as to think that he doesn't deserve the person that he cares about most. It is one of many ways that he will punish himself. He's a dork in the fact that, much like anyone else, will get embarrassed and apologize if they do something they didn't mean to do. It's also been told that he is a lousy liar, and always has been even before he was manipulated. Some decisions that he makes might be questionable as well but at least the decisions he makes are innocent and, to an extent, can even be lighthearted.
To sum it up, Jellal is basically kind and sweet with a side of naive who believes that he doesn't deserve anything despite not remembering what he had done before he was revived. However he will atone for those sins anyways even if it means the person who he cares for the most hating him upon possibly regaining them in the future. He cares a lot about the people around him especially those who he can consider 'nakama' and will do what he can to support and so what is right. Even if it means going through extremes in order to not let them down.
[Abilities]
Summary of type of magic + list of abilities
Information about his primary type of magic
Jellal is an extremely powerful magic user in Fairy Tail and was even part of the Ten Wizard Saints, a title given to wizard with immense powers. That said, many of Jellal's spells will not be accessible, restricted, or adjusted upon his arrival into Somarium.
RESTRICTED/ADJUSTED
Before going into specifics just like the other magic users in Fairy Tail the more magic he uses the more fatigued he'll be. More powerful spells will cause him to be fatigued even more so. All of his spells (even those not listed) will cause him to be left fatigued a bit more than usual as a restriction to how powerful his magic is. As another note, he cannot use any of these (or any magic at all) if he doesn't have any magic power left. With that said, I will only touch upon the ones that need to be restricted even more than just quicker fatigue and magic drainage.
Meteor
It'll be a little easier to catch him, but not by much. This really doesn't been to be restricted as the long he uses it the more magic he'll drain due to the restrictions he has placed on him already. He will have the special clothing he needs to use this upon arriving in Somarium, but if he ever doesn't have it he can't use this technique anyways.
Grand Chariot
This attack does not rival a meteor anymore. Well ... maybe a really small one or a big rock but it's not as nearly as devastating as he says it is.
Altairis
This one is not comparable to an actual meteor anymore (the series needs to stop comparing or rivaling his techniques to meteors good god). Again, maybe a really small meteor but the technique will not be as dense and the amount of gravity the technique has will not crush its opponents.
Thought Projection
This is not-- Oh Wait.
Thought Projection, for the most part, does what it intends to do: makes a physic copy of Jellal so it's possible that he can be in two places at once. The spell itself is taxing, halving Jellal's magic power (which is a lot since his copy can physically interact with objects and people despite being a hologram). For the sake of things though any magic he uses while also using this drains his magic power even more.
Flames of Rebuke
Still powerful but it's not as powerful as Etherion. So .. basically 'not as powerful as a meteor but more like a big rock'. y u p.
Bind Snake
Doesn't restrain as much so it is possible to break out of. Or something.
NOT ACCESSIBLE
Sema & Abyss Break
What do these even do?
Darkness Magic
Nothing under this category he can use. Not that he would want to use it even if he could when/if he remembers how he got possession of this magic.
Self-Destruction Spell
We don't need Jellal trying to destroy anything or himself with this spell again.
Magic Staves
He's from before he learns about his counterpart so why would he know it.
[Other important stuff]
There is a chance that Jellal will regain his memories while in Somarium. Even though that is the case, his personality that he currently has will (for the most part) stay intact. He doesn't go and do another 180 on us, so that's not a problem.

[First Person]
[ The moment that Jellal enters his room he notices a small stack of papers with a pen next to them on his bed. Curious, he walked over and picks up the papers noticing that they are what seems to be an interview. After taking a glance at the questions he picks up the pen and settles down on his bed. He wasn't unsure where this came from, or why, but it seemed as it served some important. He settles down on his bed and starts to take a better look at the questions... ]
- What do you think of your home world?
[ A question like this right off the bat hmm? Jellal takes a while before coming up with the words to write down. ]
I cannot form an opinion on the world that I had awoken to. But I believe that while my home world may be have darkness there are also those in our home world who are filled with light.
- If you could go back home, would you? Why or why not?
No. I have been given a second chance here. I would not want to go home and back to where I have been imprisoned.
- What were you doing before now?
[ He taps the pen on the sheet of paper. How to put this ... ]
Repaying for my sins.
[ Yup. There we go. ]
- If you were to describe yourself in one sentence, what would that be?
[ It takes a while for him to write down an answer to this question to the point that he almost skips it entirely. But eventually he decides on an answer and writes it down.]
Someone who, until the day the die, will atone for the sins they have committed.
- If someone provoked or attacked you, what would you do?
I will attack. But only out of defense.
[ He never wants to harm anyone purposely again. ]
- Would you consider yourself a power hungry individual?
No ... or more accurately, I do not consider myself one anymore.
[ He might not have his memories but hearing about what he has done is enough to warrant this answer to be written. ]
- If I offered to save your soul for a price, would you go with it and why?
No. I don't believe that there is a price that is worth having a sin'd soul like mine to be saved.
- Do you stand up against authority, go against all odds, and if you could, pierce the heavens with your fighting spirit? If not, would you if you could?
Only if I have to in order to protect
- Would you consider yourself a hero or a villain? Why? Neither is an option as well, but still tell why.
Neither. I have aided a few recently to save a Guild, but I cannot consider myself a hero after the sins I have committed.
[ Again. He doesn't remember his sins, but hearing what he has done were enough. ]
- You're asked to take someone out for a date. Do you agree? If so, describe what you would do. If not, tell why.
No. I don't believe I deserve anything like that.
- You are a given a mission. Would you complete it effectively or would you goof off and do something else? Expand a little on the response.
If this mission is to save someone or stop evil from being committed then I will see through it until the end. People who will or devices that can commit evil deeds must be stopped before they harm the people or places around them. Even if it means putting myself in a situation that I may not survive.
- Murder. What is your opinion?
[ For a long time he leaves his answer blank. Thinking about this hurts as, according to Erza, killed a friend of theirs before he lost his memories. He does come back to this question, but only after finishing the others. But even then the answer is pretty bland. ]
Only if necessary and to protect those close to you.
- What is more important to you: having friends or living on your own? Why?
While I don't believe I deserve them, having friends is more important than being on your own. Friends bring out strength that may never show otherwise.
[ He saw this during the fight against Oracion Seis and it is something that he would like to believe. ]
- You just got a challenge to fight from one of the strongest gang leaders around. Do you accept or reject? Why?
Only if they are threatening someone or something close to me.
- There is a cake in the rain. What do you do?
[ ... what kind of question is this? After all the serious questions this one catches him off guard. ]
I take it out of the rain. If it is still intact then there might be people who will enjoy it.
- Do you prefer adventure or the peaceful life?
I cannot live a peaceful life after the things I have done. So if I must choose, then I'll say adventure.
- If you could destroy a city, how would you do it?
[ ....... Well he could destroy a city. Not that he would want to unless he has a very good reason but ... ]
I would use my magic; my most powerful weapon.
- Would you consider yourself a lover, a hater, a sinner, or a saint? Or maybe a mix of both?
I am nothing but a sinner.
- Do you have any future goals or dreams? What are they?
Atonement for my sins.
[ Pretty sure this whole questionare got the point by now. ]
- Oh no! Someone tripped and injured themselves right in front of you! What do you do?
I would go to their aid. After helping them up help them with their wounds and afterwards ask if they require any more assistance.
- You find yourself with a cute, little penguin slave. What do you do with it?
[ ....... Well he certainly doesn't keep it as a slave. No more slave ever thank you. ]
I would ... free it. But if stays by my side then I will think of it more as a comrade than a slave.
[Third Person]
It's been about two weeks since Jellal arrived in Somarium. While he's not yet quite settled in the dream world it wasn't long until he found it to be a much more enjoyable place to be than where he was back home. But of course, not many would consider prison to be better than walking around freely down the street. To be able to have the chance to do more than sit and wait for his death to arrive was exuberant. To have the chance to think about something other than his sins. However, there is always that small feeling that when this is all over and he arrives back home that he will be sent back to the prison. Back to the darkness that he once was in. But to mild slight surprise, Jellal has the supports of those from back home. Thus, despite the amount of others who are from the same world Jellal has been able to let down his guard a little, even so much as to live in the mansion the others from his world reside in.
Jellal was making his way back to the mansion after a relaxing stroll when he hears a scream from the alley he was walking past. He stops and looks into the alley, seeing three figures. One of them was a small girl, who seemed to look like she was struggling against two larger males. As observant that Jellal is it didn't take him long to realize that the two older men were trying to mug the girl, tugging at her purse. It wasn't long after that in which they succeeded and started to run out of the alley.
At least, until they noticed Jellal standing at the end of it.
"Move out of the way!" one taller one of the two muggers demanded. Jellal ignored his order and glanced past them to the girl. She was in tears before noticing Jellal and calling out to him.
"Please help! These two stole my purse!"
Jellal looked at the purse the smaller of the two muggers was holding. By then he had some to the conclusion that he can't ignore something like this. Turning away wouldn't help his redemption; he would have simply helped two other commit a sin. So rather than moving away he continued to stand in front of the muggers. "I will not let you pass. Return the girl who purse."
The taller one scowled. "Hell no. John, get rid of him," he ordered. The smaller one smirked as he gave the purse to the taller one before taking out what seems to be a wooden bat. But Jellal didn't budge an inch as he simply lifted his hand up before sending a beam of light towards John. He was knocked back, right into the older man who let go of the purse by surprise.
Jellal walked over to the two muggers and glanced at them before moving to pick up the purse, all while making sure they don't move. Once retrieving the purse was successful he turned back to the two muggers. "I suggest you leave."
The two shifted and moved away from each other before standing up. Both scowled at their failure to catching that purse before turning and walking out of the alleyway, grumbling. Once Jellal made sure they have left he turned to return to purse, only to have been tackled by the girl.
"Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! You're my hero!" the girl squeed as she clung to Jellal. He blinked, first confused before hitting a state of denial.
"N-No. I only did what anyone would have done." he protested. Someone like him shouldn't be called a hero. After the things he's done, the darkness that clouded his mind and judgement; it was the opposite of a hero. That title would have been more suited to someone like Natsu, Erza, or someone else from Fairy Tail. Or anyone who lives not in darkness, but in the light. But the girl stepped back and simply smiled.
"Oh don't be modest!" She responded as she takes her purse from Jellal. "What's your name?"
"Ah, Jellal."
"My name is Maria! I hope to see you again Jellal~" her face by this time was red from blushing as she danced her away around Jellal and walked out of the alleyway. Jellal watched her go, before sighing softly and making his way out of the alleyway and back to the mansion. It was all over. He stopped two criminals from getting their way and made someone very happy in the process.
Maybe a bit too happy? The next day when Jellal stepped outside to get some fresh air from the commotion that was happening inside the mansion Maria was right there waiting for him. He eyes widened, wondering two things. One, why was there there and two, how did she find him.
"Good Morniiiing~" She spoke excitedly upon noticing the mage, waving her hands frantically.
"M-Morning..." Jellal wasn't as enthusiastic at all. He was confused more than anything. What did this girl want with him?
"Let's go have lunch together! My treat!"
Oh. So that's what she wants. Jellal wasn't too sure what to do. He really didn't deserve this kind of treatment. All he did was save her from some mugging. But what would happen if he rejected this act of kindness. Maybe after treating him to lunch her debt will be repaid in her mind?
So he agrees upon thinking that. Though truth be told Maria was thinking a lot more than just a debt. It was only a beginning of something Jellal will never seem to grasp. But when he does look back on these moments, Jellal will find that he has found peace with this place. Moments where he can relax with someone who is fond of him, who doesn't know or question his past. Moments that he wish he could have more often, but knows that in the end this might all just be a dream in the dream world known as Somarium.
[Why do you want to play this character in Somarium?]
Because some enabler told me to do this!
.... But of course I wouldn't be going through with this if I didn't think playing someone like Jellal who had lost his memories in a dream world would be interesting. And since his personality doesn't chance much after regaining them his lost memories can be pretty fun to play around with as well as the result of him wanting to atone for his sins. But I'm pretty sure after reading this app you all have gotten tired of hearing about that ahahaha....
[Which rule was your favorite and why?]
DO I HAVE TO?
I guess limited forth-wall breakage? I guess I like how, to an extent, you are allowing it to happen. Or something along those lines.
[Where did you hear about Somarium?]
Dear Mun. My Sister. People on Plurk. You take your pick. ♥
[Any questions?]
Nope!

Nope!
